Rachel Furphy , Receptionist / Dental Nurse

Rachel Furphy is often the first person you see when you come to SE1 Dental Centre, as she works mainly on reception. Her organisational skills keep the whole team working smoothly and, since she is a registered dental nurse, she can provide highly informed advice. "I like the interaction with patients on reception, and I also enjoy nursing for children and nervous patients. I am regularly requested by patients to nurse for their children."

 

Married with a son, Rachel has been working in dentistry for over 20 years and has been at the practice over a decade. She attends numerous conferences and seminars to keep her up to date in her field.

 

Her CV doesn't stop at dentistry: "When I was younger I trained as a dancer to a high level, going on to teach dancing for a period of time. I also trained as a hairdresser."
